The building, initially ordered for residential use, takes on a multifunctional purpose in the design process. The reason is primarily the location of the building. The area in front of the “Academy of Sciences” metro station is surrounded by educational institutions, cafes, public and administrative buildings. Thus, the complex consists of a rented building for students, a passage for catering, business, and residential parts. The Passage block, the lowest volume of the building, is designed following the volume and elements of the “Academy of Sciences” metro station, thus preserving the iconic building’s dominance. The building’s central location and the convenient panoramas made it cozy to place two dining blocks on the roof. The contact of these blocks with the building’s volume is only through the columns. The access is provided from the first floor with a separate elevator.
